Philips sales award reinforces SRC healthcare leadership

London, 14 February 2008 - SRC, the UK’s No.1 provider of healthcare digital dictation and speech recognition solutions, was awarded ‘Best 2007 Sales of the Philips DPM9600 series’ at the Philips Master Distributor Centre (MDC) Awards, 24 January 2008. The award recognises SRC’s leadership within the healthcare market where SRC has supplied the Philips 9600 portable device with barcode scanner, as a key component of the SRC WinScribe Digital Dictation solution. In 2007 alone SRC have deployed the solution to more than 10 Trusts. As well as enabling doctors to dictate on the move the Philips device enables the quick and error free capture of patient ID, which SRC then use to seamlessly integrate with Hospital Patient Administration Systems (PAS) to automatically populate document templates with patient information.

Feedback from the judges included: “The award categorically recognises SRC’s high-profile status and the unrivalled integration work they have provided to numerous NHS Trusts across the UK. The Philips device is a fundamental part of the integration process that SRC have developed in combination with NHS project teams. Remote working is an increasingly essential requirement for many organisations and the Philips 9600 allows customers to maintain productivity even when away from the hospital or clinic.”

Chris Hart, CEO at SRC comments: “This award demonstrates that SRC has the leading solution for large scale Trust wide dictation solutions, which provides NHS Trusts’ with the most efficient method of creating and turning round documentation leading to better patient care. This coupled with our focus on customers needs, particularly through the dedication of our staff, has seen SRC take pole position within this fast growing market."
