Challinors Solicitors save time with outsourced transcription and Practice Management System integration

London, 22 February 2011 – SRC is delighted to announce the successful deployment of a phased-programme of add-ons to the original SRC dictation solution at Challinors Solicitors.

In September 2010, the Midlands-based practice started the programme by linking digital dictation with outsource transcription provider Dictate Now.

Lewis Burden, IT Manager at Challinors Solicitors explained: “Fee earners complete and send dictations in the normal way, and the SRC solution takes care of distributing the dictations – so there are no training costs. The result of using outsource transcription has been a reduction in typing costs, without compromising on turnaround times for documents or accuracy.”

The second stage involved integrating the SRC solution with the firm’s Practice Management System (PMS). The integration allows users to record and manage dictations from within the PMS, rather than having to access multiple systems.

Speaking about the integration, Lewis Burden added: “The goal has always been to make our PMS the central point, moving away from disjointed systems.”

The programme has helped users at the practice to save valuable time and reduce the effort involved in dictating and typing dictations. In addition, Team Support Assistants can now spend less time typing and focus more on other critical tasks.
