Challinors to enter digital age with SRC WinScribe dictation system
London, 3 May 2007 – SRC, a leading provider of digital dictation and speech recognition solutions, today announced that they will be supplying a digital dictation solution based upon the world leading WinScribe technology to West Midlands based law firm Challinors.
Crucially, the SRC WinScribe solution will now provide Challinors with a much needed document workflow, that was not possible with the existing tape based solution, and the ability to use people more efficiently, through the system providing visibility of the complete document creation process from dictation to transcription.
Speaking about the decision to deploy a SRC digital dictation system, Challinors IT Manager, Richard Drew commented: “We knew moving from tape to a digital dictation system was essential, simply because it would save us valuable time. Fee earners could spend 30 minutes looking for blank tapes before even starting urgent dictations. After extensive evaluation we considered that SRC were the most appropriate partner for this project because they could provide the right level of support and training.”

This latest deployment of the WinScribe digital dictation solution by SRC further strengthens the position of WinScribe within the Top250 legal firms. As reported by Legal Technology Insider, WinScribe share of deployments within the Top250 legal grew by over 62% in 2006 whilst that of its nearest competitor rose by only 26%.
