SRC help Irwin Mitchell enhance document creation efficiencies as the firm exceeds 3.5 million dictation jobs
London, 11 March 2010 - SRC today announced that legal client Irwin Mitchell has successfully completed more than 3.5 million dictations using the WinScribe based digital dictation solution. The solution is now used by more than 1,450 users and manages 40,000 dictations every month.
Speaking about the SRC solution, Richard Hodkinson, Director of Operations at Irwin Mitchell said: “The dictation system is used extensively and has always been reliable, operational and easy for authors and typists to use. Over the years we’ve been able to improve efficiencies and we are moving forward with strategy and Winscribe is part of the mix.”
More recently SRC have helped Irwin Mitchell re-engineer workflows to further optimise document creation processes. In addition, SRC has deployed a speech recognition pilot to 10 users within the Personal Injury department.
Richard Hodkinson added: “We’ve looked at speech recognition year on year. Having used the solution myself, I can say the tipping point may have finally arrived where it becomes part of a credible IT agenda. SRC have shown us how successful it can be and the time savings it affords for a range of different requirements. The pilot will provide a clear understanding of how speech recognition fits with our digital dictation solution and how it can benefit our firm.”
