SRC and DICT8 deliver enhanced digital dictation and outsource transcription offering
London, 12 November 2009 - SRC, the leading provider of digital dictation and voice recognition solutions to NHS Trusts and DICT8, the leading supplier of UK based medical transcription services, today announced availability of an enhanced digital dictation and outsourced transcription service offering. The SRC DICT8 solution enables NHS customers to integrate and manage internal and external typing resources from one common interface (the WinScribe digital dictation system) to deliver improved document creation efficiencies and generate greater cost savings.
The solution incorporates SRC’s Outsource Manager application to securely export dictations to DICT8 and simultaneously enable NHS Trusts to monitor progress as dictations are transcribed. The Outsource Manager also provides NHS Trusts with sophisticated document return and quality assurance functionality.
Regardless of where work is to be typed, dictations are created via a common author interface within the WinScribe digital dictation system and automatically routed to the correct typing resource based upon configurable business rules. For outsourced work patient data is suppressed and the drafted text is returned to the SRC Outsourced Manager for automatic assembly into a letter or document for approval by the appropriate person or team within the Trust. By automating the complete workflow, SRC ensures document creation is controlled via a single common user interface and that time consuming administrative tasks are eliminated.
The solution is already in use at two NHS Trusts where SRC and DICT8 are delivering high-quality UK based transcription services 24 hours a day.
“Through our work with SRC, we look forward to bringing the advantages of outsource transcription and digital dictation, which is already in use in 50 NHS Trusts, to an expanded user base. We fully expect that connecting SRC’s leading digital dictation solution and UK based medical transcription services from DICT8 will maximise benefits for customers allowing for even faster document typing times and cost savings,” said James Fellow, Managing Director, DICT8 Ltd.
Chris Hart, CEO at SRC said: “DICT8 are the leading provider of UK based medical outsourced transcription and, by closely linking their services with our WinScribe digital dictation platform, we are enabling NHS Trusts to improve efficiencies without compromising on accuracy, security or ability to easily manage work. The solution ensures that authors and secretaries within a Trust can monitor the exact progress of work from dictation through to approval and distribution, irrespective of whether the dictation is being typed internally or by the DICT8 outsourcing service.”
SRC and DICT8 have both been appointed as suppliers under a four year framework agreement with the NHS Yorkshire and Humber Collaborative Procurement Hub (YHCPC).
