Field Fisher Waterhouse experiences success with SRC's speech recognition solution
London, 11 April 2011 – SRC is pleased to announce the successful deployment of desktop speech recognition solution at Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP.
Field Fisher Waterhouse, a leading European law firm specialising in corporate, IP, technology and regulatory law, is using speech recognition to help its lawyers and senior partners become more self-sufficient in document production and management. Having used WinScribe for many years, progression to speech recognition is a natural step.
Results from the deployment show that speech recognition has reduced the time taken to produce and send documents to clients. Using the solution, lawyers can now draft legal notes themselves, quickly and accurately, and the document is immediately created on screen for review before they send it to the client. The solution has also alleviated secretary workloads, which means they can now spend more time on other critical tasks for the firm and lawyers they support.
Mabel Evans, Head of IT Services at Field Fisher Waterhouse, commented:
"Since our lawyers are dictating anyway, we implemented speech recognition to help them become even more productive and independent, by enabling them to produce documents and letters as they speak rather than having to involve secretarial support. Our lawyers are very happy with the new solution and have found it particularly useful when writing emails.
We have also offered the solution to senior managers without secretarial support within other departments of Field Fisher Waterhouse. They also like this tool because it allows them to draft content quickly and achieve instant 99% accuracy.
SRC have done a great job, their Instant Accuracy service made a massive difference to how users adopted the solutions. We also have a strong, well established relationship with SRC and they gave us the flexibility and peace of mind that we would be able to integrate speech recognition with our Winscribe digital dictation system in a variety of modes."
Jason Heyman, Account Director at SRC, also added:
“We are delighted to be delivering this major speech recognition project to Field Fisher Waterhouse. SRC’s speech recognition solutions offer law firms powerful tools for saving time currently spent on unavoidable typing tasks involved in producing emails, reports, letters and other documents. At Field Fisher Waterhouse we are helping staff use their voice to complete a range of varied tasks quickly and easily and without massive changes in the way they work.”
As well as providing desktop speech recognition, SRC also have options for server based speech recognition as well as stand-alone and mobile options.
