The new SRC eDischarge solution is dedicated to making life better for clinicians, ward staff, pharmacists and patients. The solution enables Trusts to create and distribute discharge summaries well under the 24 hour Department of Health target.

The solution, which is already in use at NHS Trusts and is currently being deployed at Ealing Hospital NHS Trust, is easy to use and provides significant benefits including; reducing clinical risk, decreasing hospital costs and improving patient care.

Efficient document creation

SRC's eDischarge solution provides doctors, pharmacists and other frontline healthcare professionals with the ability to draft and finalise discharge summaries quickly and easily.

Clear Crystal clear visibility

The solution is web based and meets all current CfH Common User Interface standards. Users input data using a method that is right for them and is fully enabled for operation on ward based PC’s or the latest portable tablet MCA’s.

Patient Identification, clinical documentation and prescribing along with local service configuration, security and audit facilities are supported by the system.

Powerful keyword search through entire patient records.
Fast identification of patients fulfilling certain criteria (e.g. in the case of a drug recall).
Powerful search and retrieval of documents or any item of clinical information.

In-built prescription

The solution uses comprehensive biult-in drug databases supported by DM+D and First Databank, which can be customised to list only those drugs available in a specific pharmacy stock. This can integrate with a pharmacy stock control system so that only those drugs in stock are prescribed.

Searching for drugs is fast and the drug selector 'learns' each doctor's prescribing habits for faster entry reduced errors.
